Walter S. Arnold's Studio is located in Chicago, Illinois. He is an artist who carves sculpture, and architectural ornament in limestone and marble. He combines old world art with the latest in two and three dimensional computer graphics to produce stunning pieces of art.
He is currently working on 13 relief panels for the new gymnasium at the University of Chicago Laboratory School. Each Panel 2'x2'x5" and weighs about 200 pounds. Recently he finished the large crest shown second image on the left with the schools logo. It measures 6'6"x4'4"x10", and weighs about 1600 pounds.

Picture 1 is the lower piece of stone in the early stages of roughing it out. Picture 2 is the two pieces blocked out.
